Interns call off countrywide strike

Intern doctors today called off their countrywide strike after a meeting with Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim.

“They (intern doctors) held the meeting with Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim at his residence and withdrew the strike,” an official of the Health and Family Welfare Ministry told BSS.

During the meeting, interns expressed sorrow for the sufferings of patients due to their strike, he added.
