AL-BNP get DMP permission for Jan-5 rally

DMP have given permission to Awami League and BNP to hold rallies in front and inside their respective offices on January 5.

DMP Commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia said this at a press briefing on Monday, hours after Dhaka city corporation authorities allowed the parties for holding the rallies in front of their respective central offices.

He said, Awami League can hold rally in front and inside of its Bangabandhu Avenue central office while BNP also can hold rally in front and inside of its Nayapaltan central office.

Earlier, both Awami League and BNP sought permission from the DMP in black and white to hold their rallies in the capital`s Suhrawardy Udyan.
