80 get gold medals at DU’s 50th convocation

Eighty topper students were awarded gold medals at the 50th convocation of Dhaka University held in its central playground on Saturday.

In this occasion, 61 researchers were given Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degrees while 43 got Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degrees.

Earlier, President Abdul Hamid chancellor of the university inaugurated the event this morning.

More than 17,875 graduate and post graduate pass outs getting their certificate at the convocation.

Professor Amit Chakma delivered the convocation address. He was awarded Doctor of Science (ScD) degree.

Professor AAMS Arefin Siddique was also present at the event.
