Hizb-ut Tahrir men held in city
Police arrested an operative of the banned Islamist outfit Hizb-ut Tahrir from the city`s Shahbagh area on Wednesday afternoon.
A squad of Counter Terrorism Unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested Sajid Bin Alam, 25, a student of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Dhaka University from Shahbagh area around 3.30pm on Wednesday on charges of conducting publicity in favour of the Hizb-ut Tahrir, said an official.
Legal action was taken to this end.
