Earthquake shakes Bangladesh: 3 dead, 29 injured
Three persons have been reported killed and 29 injured in a strong earthquake measuring 6.7 on the Richter scale that was felt all across Bangladesh and beyond around 5.05am Monday.
According to USGS, the quake extended to the parts of Indo-Myanmar border and had a depth of 10km.
The epicentre of the quake was Tamenglong in India’s northeastern state Manipur.
The states from where tremors have been reported are Assam, Manipur, West Bengal, Jharkhand and Bihar.
In Bangladesh too people were seen running out their homes into the open spaces.
Among them three persons died after getting panic and 29 were injured.
