Fire station in every upazila underway: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan said under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, the process of establishing fire station in every upazila was underway.

‘By 2016 there would be 552 fire stations in the country and work force would be doubled with updated equipments,’ he said.

Home Minister said as the chief guest at a concluding programme of the orientation course of 150 firefighters at Fire Service and Civil Defence Complex in city`s Mirpur area on Sunday.

He said the government would do everything to make the Fire Service and Civil Defence department modern with world class equipments.

He asked the members of Bangladesh Fire Service and Civil Defence to work with honesty and utmost professionalism for the welfare of the country.
