Crude bombs blast near Khaleda`s office, 11 injured

Two crude bombs were blasted at a rally organised by Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan near BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s office in Gulshan leaving at least 11 people injured.

Witnesses said at 12:20pm the miscreants hurled the crude bombs from the rooftop of a nearby building.

One of the injured was identified as Delwar Hossain, an activist of Bangladesh Awami Muktijoddha Projonmo League unit of Gulshan thana unit.

The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital.

Police held 10 alleged miscreants in connection with the blast.

The rally was organised in protest of the continuing blockade and hartal enforced by the BNP-led 20-party alliance.

Agitated Awami League supporters and activists vandalised several nearby shops after the blast.
