JMB member arrested in C`nawabganj

Police of Nachole Thana arrested an active member of the banned Islamic outfit JMB from Nizampur rail station under Nachole upazila of the district on Saturday morning.

The arrested JMB member was identified as Md. Masum 28, son of late Abdul Gofur of Nizampur rail stationpara under Nachole upazila of the district.

Police said, acting on secret information a contingent of police from Nachole Thana raided the area at about 10.00 am and arrested him.

Officer in Charge (OC) of Nachole Thana Fasiruddin said Masum was an active member of JMB and there are three cases of militant and terrorist activities against him with Nachole and Gomostapur police stations.

Md. Masum was absconding for a long time, the OC said.
