EX-KCC Mayor Tayebur dies

Former mayor of Khulna City Corporation (KCC) advocate Sheikh Tayebur Rahman has died on Friday night at the age of 80.

He was also former forest and environment affairs secretary of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).

He breathed his last at Nargis Memorial Hospital in Khulna city around 11:00am where he was undergoing treatment since suffering a brain stroke.

City BNP president Nazrul Islam Manju ensured the matter to journalist.

He said that the first namaz-e-janaza of Tayebur Rahman will be held at Hadis Park in city around 11:30am of Saturday.

He will be laid to rest at his family graveyard at Korori village of Bagerhat after asr prayers.

Tayebur Rahman was election mayor of Khulna city for 17 years and 10 months in three consecutive terms
