Amar Ekushey: Four-layer security in Shaheed Minar

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) commissioner Md. Asaduzzaman Mia has said “A total of 8,000 policemen will be deployed around the Central Shaheed Minar in the capital to provide four-layer security measures on February 21.”

DMP Commissioner said this while addressing at a press conference on Sunday.

Close-circuit television (CCTV) cameras will be installed between Shahbagh and the Central Shaheed Minar to watch the movement of people, he said.

Bangladesh observes the day as Shaheed Day in the memory of the 1952 Language Movement martyrs. The day is also observed as International Mother Language Day worldwide.
