Proposed Comilla division will be called Moynamati: Kamal

The proposed Comilla division will be named after archeological site Moynamati situated in Comilla as suggested by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina suggested the (proposed) Comilla Division to be called Moynamati," Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal told newsmen emerging from an Executive Committee to National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting chaired by the premier.

The ECNEC meeting, he said, also decided that if any new administrative division was formed that also would not be named after any district.

The government has decided to form the country`s ninth administrative divisions with Comilla being its headquarters.
