1200 Ballot papers snatched in Barura

Voting at Latifpur polling centers of Barura municipal in Comilla was postponed as miscreants snatched a total of 1200 ballot papers were snatched. 

The vote casting was postponed at 8am on Wednesday.

Upazila returning officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Lutfur Nahar Azim ensured this to journalist.

Elections to 234 municipalities have begun marking the start of the country’s maiden local government polls on partisan lines.

The voting started at 8:00am and will continue till 4:00pm today.
