1 killed in ‘gunfight’ with Munshiganj cops
A top criminal was killed in an alleged gunfight with police in Munshiganj in the wee hours of Monday.
The deceased Shahjalal Miji was accused in 22 cases including murder, it is learnt.
Two pistols, two Chinese axes, one machete and two daggers have been recovered from their possession.
In this connection, Md. Jayedul Alam, Superintendent of Police of Munshiganj, told that, “Police along with Shahjalal went to recover arms at Moyna Mollar Kath garden. Sensing the presence of police, Shahjalal’s cohorts opened fire on them. In reply police also backed fire. At that time, Shahjalal killed on the spot.”
