BNP becomes reckless for failures: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Qauder today said the BNP has become desperate out of frustration because of its wrong politics and failure in polls and launching movement.

"I also mentioned earlier that the BNP had turned into a desperate political party for its failure in elections and movement. The party has become desperate like a reckless driver. Like the reckless driver, the BNP might commit another accident in politics at anytime," Quader said while inaugurating a library- `Jubojagaron`- followed by a discussion of Dhaka South City unit of Jubo League at Kakrail here this morning.

Referring to the newly formed the Election Commission (EC), he said no other political parties except the BNP considered the Chief Election Commission (CEC) as an Awami League man.

"But the main fact is that BNP even doesn`t know what it is talking about?" the minister observed.

The AL general secretary lauded the initiatives of Jubo League to set up the library to make the party men knowledgeable.

Jubo League Research Centre led by JL Chairman Omar Faruk Chowdhury published a good number books and later founded the library to enrich its leaders and workers. The publications depicted the political philosophy of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and statesman Sheikh Hasina.

Mentioning the AL programmes on March 7 and March 26, Quader reiterated his earlier directives that no rally or procession would be allowed on the city streets to ease traffic tailback.

"We took such a decision considering the interest of the mass people," he added.

JL Chairman Omar Faruk Chowdhury, JL General Secretary Mohammad Harunur Rashid and Dhaka South City Unit JL President Islmail Chowdhury Samrat, among others, spoke on the occasion.
