2 killed in Bogra ‘shootout’

Two suspected robbers were killed in a gunfight with police at Kahaloo upazila in Bogra early Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Dulal Hosen, 35 and Ibrahim Hosen, 40. At that time, two others have been arrested from the spot.

A foreign-made pistol, five round bullets and some home-made arms were recovered from their possession.

Nure Alam Seddiki, officer-in-charge of Kahaloo Police Station, confirmed the matter to the reporters.

He said, “A gang of robbers opened fire on police personnel when they were on duty in the area. In reply, police also fired on them and two people were killed on the spot.”
