1,445 NGOs get registration from Jan 2001-Dec 2016: Matia

A total of 1,445 non-government organisations (NGOs) got registration from NGO Affairs Bureau from January 2001 to December 2016.

Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury, who is also in charge of Prime Minister`s Office in the Jatiya Sangsad, informed this in the House while responding to a tabled question of independent lawmaker Md. Abdul Matin (Moulvibazar-2).

Among the NGOs, Matia Chowdhury told the House that registration of 90 NGOs were cancelled at different times due to various reasons.

In this connection, the minister provided a detailed list of the registered NGOs along with their names and addresses.
