6 to die for van driver murder

A court in Kushtia handed down death sentences to six accused over the murder of a van driver in the district.

Additional District and Sessions Judge Reza Mohammad Alamgir passed the order around 12pm on Tuesday.

The six are- Sazzat, Majed, Sukhchand, Rashedul Islam, Kalai and Md. Monsur Ali. Of them, Rashedul is on the run.

The van driver Abu Bakkar was the inhabitant of the Kanchanpur village of Kushtia Sadar Upazila.
