Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today said the widow of journalist Shimul has been given a job at Essential Drugs Company Limited under the health ministry.

The killer of journalist Shimul of Shahjadpur in Sirajganj must be brought under the purview of law and given exemplary punishment, he said while inaugurating renovated emergency department and one-stop service at Shaheed Suhrawardi Medical College and Hospital in the city, said an official release.

A presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League, Mohammad Nasim expressed profound shock over the death of party advisory council member Suranjit Sengupta, MP, and said he was an experienced, prudent and dedicated politician.

Suranjit Sengupta could prove that he was devoted to the welfare of the people, he added.

The health minister asked the hospital authorities to remain alert so that no clique of brokers can enter into hospitals.
