Journalist Shimul’s wife gets job: Nasim
Health and Family Welfare Minister Mohammad Nasim today said the widow of journalist Shimul has been given a job at Essential Drugs Company Limited under the health ministry.
The killer of journalist Shimul of Shahjadpur in Sirajganj must be brought under the purview of law and given exemplary punishment, he said while inaugurating renovated emergency department and one-stop service at Shaheed Suhrawardi Medical College and Hospital in the city, said an official release.
A presidium member of Bangladesh Awami League, Mohammad Nasim expressed profound shock over the death of party advisory council member Suranjit Sengupta, MP, and said he was an experienced, prudent and dedicated politician.
Suranjit Sengupta could prove that he was devoted to the welfare of the people, he added.
The health minister asked the hospital authorities to remain alert so that no clique of brokers can enter into hospitals.
The common people are now getting modern treatment facilities at low costs in government hospitals, he said, adding that currently there is hardly any crisis of doctors in hospitals.
Earlier, the minister inaugurated a garden of medical plants and flowers in the hospital. He planted a neem sapling there.
Former State Minister for Home Shamsul Huq Tuku, the hospital Director Dr Uttam Barua and College Principal Professor Dr Mqsudul Alam were present on the occasion, among others.
