14 arrested for govt officials phone spoofing

A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained fourteen members of a fraud gang involved in spoofing government officials’ phone numbers.

The elite force members seized apps, mobile phone sets, huge numbers of SIM cards, laptops, desktop computers and cash money from their possession.

Confirming the matter to the reporters, RAB’s Media Wing Director Mufti Mahmud Khan on Thursday morning told that the arrests were made from Dhaka’s Uttara area on Wednesday night.
