5 killed in horrific truck-microbus collision

Five people including a woman were killed and eight others injured on the spot in a horrific accident at Ulukandi area of Shaistaganj upazila in Habiganj.

The incident took place when a stone-laden truck collided head-on with a microbus around 7am on Thursday.

Identities of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Hearing the news, police rushed to the spot to rescue the bodies of the deceased. The injured people were taken to Habiganj Sadar Adhunik Hospital.

Confirming the matter to Jagonews24.com, Jakir Hosen, officer-in-charge of Shaistaganj Highway Police Station, told that bodies of the deceased were kept in the police station.
