TI ranks Bangladesh 15th most corrupt country

Bangladesh has ranked 15th among the most corrupt countries in the world, said Transparency International (TI) in its world Corruption Perception Index (CPI).

Bangladesh scored 26 points to end at 15th among 176 countries in the ranking. Last year, Bangladesh ranked 13th scoring the same points among 168 countries.

Dr Iftekharuzzaman, Executive Director of Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) said this while unveiling the Corruption Perception Index (CPI) for 2017 at a press conference at MIDAS center in Dhaka on Wednesday.

The countries that ranked the same position along with Bangladesh are Kenya, Cameroon, Gambia, Madagascar and Nicaragua.
