Hartal extends till Friday evening

Countrywide Hartal called by BNP led 20-party alliance is going on. A statement signed by Salahuddin Ahmed, joint secretary general of BNP, confirmed the extension of The 72 hour Hartal ended on Tuesday. The alliance imposed 48-hour Hartal again till Friday 6 pm.

The statement said the strike has been called in protest of killing party activists in the name of crossfire, countrywide arresting and harassing them, strangling the media and all the repression on the people by the government.

SSC and same standard examinations scheduled to be held on Thursday have been postponed due to the strike. However, Exams will be held on Friday and Saturday as per schedule.
