Arafat Sunny sent to jail

Cricketer Arafat Sunny was sent to jail after completion his one-day remand in a case filed over uploading sensitive photos on social media.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Zakir Hossain Tipu on Tuesday passed the order after the Mohammadpur Police Station sub-inspector (SI) and investigation officer of the case Mohammad Yahia produced Sunny before the court and sought to send him to jail.

Earlier, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate placed the cricketer on one-day remand. Sunny was arrested on Sunday in a case filed over posting offensive photos of a woman who claimed that she has a marital relation with him.
