30 houses gutted in Mohammadpur slum

At least thirty houses were gutted in fire at Dhaka garden adjacent of embankment in Mohammadpur slum early Wednesday.
No one was injured in this, it is learnt.
According to source, the incident took place around 1.30pm on Wednesday when it had originated from a funnel lamp. The fire broke out the adjacent area rapidly.
On information, fire brigade official rushed to the spot with seven units to take the situation under control.
Confirming the matter, Fire brigade control unit official Polash Chandra Modok told the journalist that, they became able to control the situation after trying one and half an hour.
