BGB-BSF border conference delayed
The conference between the border forces of Bangladesh and India has been delayed due to the crash of a BSF plane in New Delhi that left 10 people dead.
The Direction General-level discussion between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Border Security Force (BSF) was scheduled to be held at the BGB Peelkhana headquarters in the capital from Wednesday morning.
BGB Director General Major General Aziz Ahmed and BSF DG DK Pathak were supposed to lead their respective sides to the six-day border conference.
BGB Public Relations Officer Mohammad Mohsin Reza said the border conference was postponed due to unavailable circumstances. “The new date will be announced soon,” he said.
Sources at the BGB headquarters said the border talks were postponed after 10 people, including three BSF officers and seven technicians, were killed when a small BSF aircraft crashed in New Delhi on Tuesday morning.
