Mayor Anisul urges city dwellers to plant trees
Dhaka North City Corporation mayor Anisul Haq urged city dwellers to plant more trees at their respective compounds and open spaces to keep the city clean, healthy and green.
“There is no alternative to plant trees to make Dhaka green. Trees give us Oxygen and absorbe Carbon- Di- oxide from the environment. For that reason, we should plant more trees,” said the Mayor.

“Last year, we did a poll on the city’s children. As per the poll, 25 per cent of the children were affected by toxic environment. If we have sufficient trees in Dhaka, this would not happen. That’s why everybody should plant trees,” the mayor said.
