5 killed in Bus-Truck collision in Pabna

Five people were killed and twenty others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger bus and a sand loaded truck in Pabna at 12pm on Monday.

The incident took place in Chinakhora Bazaar area of Sujanagar on Pabna-Dhaka Highway in the district.

The deceased are Akash Kumar, 10 and his grandmother Sonkhoni Rani Sarker, 45 and her daughter Bijli Rani Sarker.

Remaining two others identity could not be known immediately.  

Officer-in-charge of Sujanagar Police Station Chakir Uddin told Jagonews24.com that, a passenger bus named Night star collided with head on a sand loaded truck coming from opposition side at Chinakhora Bazaar. 

During this time four people killed in the spot and one was killed on the way to hospital.

Locals recovered the dead body and injured persons were sent to Pabna Gneral Hospital, he added.
