There will be no inequality: Khaleda Zia
Khaleda Zia has said, people from all religions will live together in peace and happiness if Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) comes to the power. There will be no inequality. There will be no (religious) discrimination in employment.
The BNP chairperson made the observation while exchanging greetings with Christians on Sunday night before Christmas.
Khaleda said that, BNP believes in democracy. They (government) will have to be overcome through elections, not through movements in order to save the country.
She urged all to vote for BNP mayoral candidates in the Dec 30 municipal polls.
‘No municipal election has so far been held with party symbols. I urge you all at all municipalities to vote for the ‘sheaf of paddy’ symbol,’ she said.
The Christian Association organized the function at her office in Gulshan. Tejgaon catholic mission’s Father Albert Rozario, among others, was present.
Khaleda cut a cake with children in the beginning of the programme. She also greeted the Christians for Christmas.
Slating the ruling party, Khaleda said, the Awami league has become ferocious now. They are not like humans anymore. They are worse than animals.
‘That`s why I say the court in a verdict issued against the Awami League leader (Sheikh Hasina) called her ‘wrongheaded’,’ she said.
