MPO teachers to get new pay scale

Teachers of schools and colleges under the government’s Monthly Pay Order (MPO) coverage will get salaries and allowances under the new pay scale.

A circular was issued on Sunday noon to implement the government’s decision.

Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid at his Secretariat office ensured this the journalists.

Earlier on December 15, the government issued gazette for the 8th National Pay Scale for public servants after the Cabinet cleared it on September this year.

It is mentionable that, respected teachers-officials have been demanding this for long.
