TV channels stand against provocative news

Owners of the private television channels have come to an agreement not to broadcast provocative news on their channels.

Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu said this after a meeting with the TV channel owners at the secretariat on Thursday. The minister also sought cooperation of the media to stand against subversive activities in the name of movement.

Trade Minister Amir Hossain Amu, Commerce Minister Tofayel Ahmed, Water Resources Minister Anisul Islam Mahmud, among others, were present at the meeting.
