HC summons two Jessore cops over “torture of youth”
The High Court on Sunday summoned two police personnel of Jessore Kotwali police station to explain personally that why they tortured inhumanly a detained person in custody demanding money.
Jessore Kotwali police station Sub-inspector Nazmul and assistant sub-inspector Hadibur Rahman were asked to appear before a bench of Justice Quazi Reza-Ul Haque and Justice Mohammad Ullah at 10:30am on January 25.
The High Court bench also directed the Jessore superintendent of police to submit a probe report over the torture which went viral on social media.
