Militant outfits under surveillance: Home Minister
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said all militant outfits are under the surveillance of the law enforcement agencies.
He told journalists on Friday at his Dhanmondi residence during the briefing about ‘gunfight’ at Mohammadpur Beribadh that left two militants leaders - Nurul Islam Marzan and Saddam Hossain - dead.
“The law enforcement agencies already cornered the militant outfits badly . . . The militants are under surveillance and have no scope to flee,” he said.
Replying to query, the home minister said Marzan was one of the most wanted criminals who was involved in the attack on Gulshan Holey Artisan Bakery on July 1, 2016 while Saddam was involved in serial killings in Northern districts in recent time, reports BSS.
He said the law-enforcement agencies were looking for the two militants - Marzan and Saddam- for long.
The home minister categorically said none of them (militants) will be spared.
“Militant Musa will also be nabbed soon . . . There will be no place for the militant outfits in Bangladesh,” he told newsmen confidently.
The minister, answering to another question, said the law and order is under our control and the people are not giving any shelter to the militants and criminals.
