Ministers condole lawmaker Liton’s death

Ministers of different ministries expressed deep shock at the death of Gaibandha-1 (Sundarganj) constituency lawmaker Manzurul Islam Liton and demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishments to the culprits involved in the killings.

In separate messages of condolence, Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives Minister Khandker Mosharraf Hossain, Expatriate Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc and Land Minister Shamsur Rahman Sherif said the death of Manzurul Islam Liton is an irreparable loss for the nation as well as the residents of Sundarganj constituency of Gaibandha.

The ministers demanded immediate arrest of the people involved in the brutal killings and also expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul of the Lawmaker.

Earlier on Saturday afternoon, unidentified miscreants shot dead Liton inside his Masterpara village home as they appeared at the scene mounting on a motorbike.
