President praises govt. for ensuring good governance
President Md. Abdul Hamid said government played cordial role in ensuring good governance and advancing socio-economic development in the country. President said this while addressing the first session of the 5th session of 10th parliament on Monday evening.
President called upon ruling and oppositions to make the parliament the centre for all the productive activities of the country and participate actively in parliamentary activities regardless party and ideology.
President Abdul Hamid summoned the Parliament session on 31st December, last year. The session started at 4.15 pm with Speaker Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury in the chair.
