Amu to inaugurate "Bangladesh Bijoy Utsab" in Kolkata tomorrow
Industries Minister Amir Hossain Amu will inaugurate a five-day Bangladesh Bijoy Utsab, Bangladesh Victory Festival, in Kolkata, India on Tuesday.
The minister has left here for Kolkata this morning and is scheduled to return tomorrow, a ministry release said.
Organized by Bangladesh Deputy High Commission in Kolkata, the inaugural ceremony of the festival will be attended by West Bengal minister Firhad Hakim and Bangladesh Deputy High Commissioner Jokey Ahad.
Different traditional items from Bangladesh including Jamdani, Tangail Tant, Rajshahi Silk Saree, jute items and other handicrafts will be showcased at the function. Food lovers will be able to relish the traditional delicacies like Khichuri, Biriani, pitha and sweets at the festival.
