DU cuts ties with Pakistan

Dhaka University (DU) cuts ties with Pakistan. The decision came from a DU Syndicate meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique in the chair on Monday afternoon.

Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique said, we took this decision because Pakistan denied the atrocities committed in Liberation War of Bangladesh.

It will continue until the country offers apology for the genocide during Bangladesh’s Liberation War in 1971, he added.

He also demanded the government to sever ties with Pakistan unless Islamabad offers unconditional apology for the crimes it committed  in 1971.
