No more e-token for India visit from January 1

From January 1, 2017, travellers will not need to take e-token to get a visa to visit India, officials in Indian High Commisison in Dhaka said on Wednesday.

If a traveller has  confirmed air, train or bus tickets purchased from authorised operators, he or she can submit their visa application directly.

The Indian High Commission in Dhaka issued a press release in this regard on Wednesday.

There are reports of sufferings of travellers to get an e-toaken for a visa to visit India. People often have to give Tk 3000 to Tk 3500 to get a e-token from some informal service providers in Dhaka.
