BCL factions clash: Comilla Medical College closed for sine die
The authorities closed Comilla Medical College (CMC) for an indefinite period on Wednesday following a clash between two factions of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL).
The male students were asked to vacate the dormitories by 11am while the female students were asked to vacate dormitories by 4pm.
Ten students were injured in a clash between two factions of CMC unit BCL over establishing supremacy on the campus this morning.
Md. Abdur Rab, Officer-in-Charge of Comilla Model Thana, said supporters of BCL leaders- Nowshad and Rahat groups-locked into a clash over establishing supremacy that injured ten students.
Additional police were deployed on the campus to control untoward situation, the OC added.
