All set to hold district council polls on Dec 28

The Election Commission (EC) already has sent all necessary election materials, including the ballot papers, to all concerned districts across the country as the district council election is scheduled for December 28.

In an official letter signed by EC`s senior assistant secretary Syed Golam Rashed the Election Commission instructed to supply all the required election materials to the District Election Officers within December 23.

As per the requirements, ballot papers, ID cards, training manuals and official seals, have already been sent to the concerned district councils, reports BSS.

"All preparations have been completed to hold the district council election," said Election Commissioner M Shahnewaz.

The first district council election is being held in the wake of completion of the tenure of the 61 district administrators, who had been appointed by the government on December 15, 2011.
