Police surround a house suspecting ‘militant den’

Counter Terrorism unit of Dhaka Metropolitan Police have surrounded a house in Dakshinkhan of Dhaka since early Saturday morning suspecting it a militant den.

Many law enforcers including Rab, Police have been deployed in the area, police said.

Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime unit Chief Monirul Islam said, we got information that several militants including women and children were residing there with grenade and other firearms.

He said, we asked them to surrender through loudspeaker but we are yet to get response from them.

Police said they will conduct an operation at any time at the three-storey building near Haji Camp.
