NCC polls pass off peacefully

Though there was fear of violence at the voting centers, the voting in the Narayanganj City Corporation polls passed off peacefully today. 

 A large number of security forces were deployed  at different points of the polling centers. There is no report of violence centering the election.

The balloting began at 8:00am and continued till 4:00pm without any break.

Both the ruling Awami League-backed Selina Hayat Ivy and Bangladesh Nationalist Party-supported Sakhawat Hossain Khan cast their votes in respective centres in the morning.

Both the parties have expressed their satisfaction over the voting.
