Ivy and Shakhawat cast their votes
Mayor Candidates of Awami backed Selina Hayat Ivy and BNP backed Shakhawat Hossain Khan cast their votes on Thursday morning in Narayanganj City Corporation (NCC) election.
The voting started at 8am and it will continue till 4pm without any break.
Ivy cast her vote at Shishubag School polling centre at 9.30am while Shakhawat at Masdairosto Adarsha School at 8.15am.
The maiden election to the NCC was held on October 30, 2011 when Selina Hayat Ivy won the race, defeating ruling Awami League-backed candidate Shamim Osman.
