Bomb blasts in Dinajpur temples: 4 held
Police on Saturday morning arrested four people from Sadar and Palashbari upazilas of Dinajpur for their suspected involvement in the bomb attacks on the premises of Kantaji Temple and Eskon temple in Kahalore upazila in Dinajpur.
The arrestees were identified as Sumon, Iqbal Hossain, Khoka Miah and Forhad Hossain.
Mujibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Palashbari Police Station, said a team of police conducted a drive in Monohorpur area of Palashbari upazila and Ramnather Bhita in Sadar upazila in the morning and arrested them.
“Police are now investigating whether they had any connection with the bomb attack incidents”, added the OC.
Earlier on December 5, 10 people were injured as three crude bombs went off under the canopy of a ‘jatra’ show on the premises of Kantaji Temple in Dinajpur.
On Thursday night, Unknown miscreants opened fire and hurled bombs left two people injured at Iskon temple in Kaharol upazila of Dinajpur around 7:45 pm.
