Notes and coins of Tk1, Tk2 will stay

Notes and coins of Tk1 and Tk2 will remain in the market, Finance Minister Abul Mal Abdul Muhith on Monday confirmed the news.

Addressing a programme Monday morning at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Finance Minister said the notes and coins will not be withdrawn from market forcibly.

“When people will find the coins and notes unnecessary, usage of those will be reduced naturally.” said the minister.

Before this on Sunday, the minister bank would not circulate notes and coins of Tk1 and Tk2 anymore.
