Armed Shibir man held in Chittagong

Police arrested an activist of Islami Chhatra Shibir with a pistol and 25 sharp weapons in Satkania upazila of Chittagong on Saturday morning.

Fariduddin Khandakar, officer-in-charge of Satkania Police Station told that, arrestee Sarwar Uddin is accused in 10 cases filed against him on various charges including subversive activities

Sarwar was nabbed from his residence at Samadarpara in the upazila.

The law enforcers recovered a pistol, two bullets, around 25 kirich (a type of knife) and a number of yaba tablets from his house, the police official said.
