Another JMB man held over Japanese killing

Another ‘leader’ of banned group Jama’atul Majahideen Bangladesh was held for his alleged involvement in the murders of a Japanese national Kunio Hoshi in Rangpur on Thursday.

The detainee was identified as Khaibor Hossain, 34, a primary school teacher, an associate of JMB’s regional commander Masud Rana.

Hoshi was shot dead by motorcycle-borne assailants near Rangpur city on Oct 3, within a week of the murder of Italian aid worker Cesare Tavella in Dhaka’s Gulshan.
