NSTU suspends 6 students over clash
Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) authority has temporarily suspended six students for their alleged involvement in a clash between two rival groups of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) of NSTU unit at the campus.
University’s Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. M Ohiuduzzaman on Saturday night suspended them after getting primary reports from five-member committee which was formed following the clash.
They are Abdul Hamid Bappi (Pharmacy, 4th batch), Nasir Ahmed Rana (English, 8th batch), Saiful Haque Rupu (Food Technology and Nutritional Science, 8th batch), Sazzad Shihab (English, 8th batch), Zahidur Rahman Nayeem (Information and Communication Engineering, 10th batch) and Nasir Hossain (Economics, 10th batch).
According to source, the supporters of two BCL groups were locked into a clash while 10 students were injured. After the incident, additional police were deployed at the campus.
