EC reconstitution talks: Khaleda to lead BNP team

BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia will lead the BNP team for holding talks with President Abdul Hamid on December 18 on formation of the new election commission.

A BNP delegation led by assistant office secretary Taiful Islam Tipu handed over the list at Bangabhaban Thursday afternoon. Sayrul Kabir Khan from the BNP press wing confirmed this to journalists.

Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia will lead a 10 members team.

The other delegation members are: Party’s Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Lt Gen (retd) Mahbubur Rahman and Abdul Moeen Khan, senior leaders Moudud Ahmed, Nazrul Islam Khan, Mirza Abbas and Goyeshwar Chandra Roy and its chairperson’s Adviser Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury.
