Muhith says Japan will withdraw travel alert soon

Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith said that Japan will withdraw its travel alert for Bangladesh which was issued in July after the terrorist attack at a restaurant in Dhaka’s Gulshan area.

He made the remark while speaking to journalists on his recent Japan tour at the secretariat on Sunday. High officials of different ministries including Economic Relation Department (ERD) secretary were present at the conference.

He said that Tokyo will soon announce their position in this regard.

The Finance Minister said that all sorts of confusion of the government of Japan have come to end. He said that Japan has assured it will continue its investment in Bangladesh.
