JMB involved in Hoshi murder: DIG

Deputy Inspector General of Police (Rangpur range) Humayun Kabir said on Tuesday, Jamaat-ul-Mujahideen Bangladesh is involved with the murder of Japanese national Hoshi Kunio.

DIG made the statement in a press briefing on Tuesday afternoon.

He said, Masud Rana, the militant group’s Rangpur region chief was arrested from Pirgacha in connection with Hoshi murder. He has confessed in court that he killed Japanese national Kunio Hoshi.

Kunio Hoshi, 66, was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Kaunia upazila of Rangpur on October 3, just five days after an Italian aid worker was murdered in Dhaka`s diplomatic zone.
